Have you developed spiritual knowledge?
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
So mourned the prophet Hosea. The glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that "all shall know [God], from the least to the greatest of them" (Heb 8:11). Spiritual knowledge is open to all God's children today, so it is not only our duty but also our privilege to seek out this knowledge.
"The children of God who really seek after Him are divided into two classes: one class knows the Bible but knows little of God's power; the other does not know much of the Bible yet knows the power of God. Very seldom are Christians well balanced in both points. I shall not speak on the relative importance of these two principles; I intend, rather, to say to all that it is not enough just to know the Bible but that we must also know the power of God. Knowledge of the Scriptures alone is not sufficient; we must know God Himself."
Watchman Nee, Spiritual Knowledge
This book is Watchman Nee's attempt to help us to develop spiritual knowledge. He points out the difference between mental knowledge and spiritual knowledge, shows the ways to the true knowledge of God as well as of ourselves, and explains the relationship between spiritual knowledge and the renewed mind.
To miss Him is to miss our destiny because the most precious thing in this life on earth is to know God—THAT is eternal life. May we pursue Him with our whole hearts!
