We Have an Anchor in These Dark Days!

More and more it seems that everywhere you look, upheaval and strife are on the rise. Anger and fear war with each other for dominance in the media, and cultural norms grow more twisted and extreme by the day. It would be easy to think that the whole world has gone mad and to worry that the maelstrom will sweep you up, too. How perfect then is the timing of the Holy Spirit to remind us that we have an anchor!

We Have an Anchor is the answer to the daily onslaught of the enemy, whose only aim is to tempt us into unbelief by keeping our eyes on the darkness and our ears tuned to the stranger’s voice. But as Martha so passionately points out, we are not loose leaves tossed to and fro with every strong wind. “We have an anchor that keeps the soul…” And we need to know what that anchor is.
