The Solution

What is the solution to every problem, every crisis, every life?

Ephesians 1:3 in the New Living Translation says, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” If this is true – and it most certainly is! – then why don’t we have all of those spiritual blessings? Why do we struggle spiritually? Why do we try so hard and yet fail so often to take hold of the blessings that we are promised? Little do we know just how much we do on a daily basis to obstruct the flow of God’s lavish provision and blessing in our lives!

Far too many believers think they know what God wants from them. They think they have to know and to do and to work and to change and to be. They think that the solution to their problems requires their help and performance. They strive and pray and pray and strive, ever working to earn what God has already given. How frustrating and exhausting that life is! Didn’t God say that His yoke is easy and His burden light? How do we make that promise our actual reality?
