Product Description
For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
Living in the Soul and Spirit
In the days we live much of what we call Christianity is actually a work of the soul rather than the spirit. It is highly deceptive because we have ready access to the power of the soul, where living by the Spirit requires us to wait. But the Word clearly states that we are NOT to live from strength or might but only by the Spirit of the Lord. The difference is paramount to our lives, as well as the lives of those around us.
In this month’s message Martha takes a deep dive into the life and fruit of both the soul and spirit. Their fruits are utterly different. One is the heart of stone bringing death, and the other is the heart of flesh which bears Life. And only in the new heart can we live the new Life we were given through salvation. Oh that all would choose this spirit path, how we could change our world. But many continue to lean back upon the old soul life to perform their spiritual life. It is death.
At salvation we were given a new nature so we could live our lives with God. Imagine, we can truly live in the power of the spirit and be continually in touch with God. No more struggling to work it out, or forcing life into compliance to our will. The liberty is amazing, and available to us. It is our deep purpose and it would be a shame to miss out on His amazing gift.
Soul and Spirit is the Message of the Month for August 2020.

Thank you so much for this teaching. The portion the Lord gave you, especially on thought life, snatched me from the fire and led me to repentance. I was in the midst of cooperating with tormenting, bitter, destructive, prideful thoughts and thankfully listened to this message that day and read John's blog post that was referenced. It was the cold water in the face that I desperately needed to get my attention, repent, and was so thankful for to leave my soulish thoughts. Thank you for bringing it at such an appointed time and thank you Lord for your goodness!
