The Powers of GOD

There is a huge push and ambition these days to have power, and perhaps there has always been. Power makes you strong and competent, right? Many believe they receive this power through knowledge, tenacity, stamina or even the volume of their voice. But this is not how we receive power, true power is not natural to humanity. Those Saints who have led the way before us have shown these strategies may give us seeming strength but spiritual power? No! We gain spiritual power through weakness.

Learning to Receive The Powers of God

Speaking of the Saints listed in Hebrews 11 Milton said, “they shook the powers of darkness with the irresistible power of weakness.” The secret behind this is that the greatest power we have is in faith but oddly we access that power through weakness not personal strength. Weakness is simple dependence on a God who can do what we cannot.
