Oughts and Shoulds

"If we understood the freedom that Christ has given, we would BE free and give freedom to others."

As believers, we are now subject to the law of the Spirit, but all too often we go back to the law or create our own. We make up laws for ourselves ("I ought to be...") and everyone around us ("You should..."). The pride of taking on laws is in all of us, and we each have to discover the impossibility of keeping the law, because we really think we can. We were freed from slavery to the law by Jesus Christ. The question is: are we living free?
