Great Falling Away, The

While the emphasis of our world is for self, there is a single focus intended for all things. What is that? Jesus is the goal of all things. Everything is set up to glorify Him as the Son of God. And our great falling away is a falling away from that essential Goal. 

Are We Experiencing the Great Falling Away?

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him: We ask you, brothers, not to be easily upset in mind or troubled, either by a spirit or by a message or by a letter as if from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord has come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

The Great Falling Away is the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professing Christians. We are witness to this daily. And while Congress professes from the floor of the house that “The Will of God is none of our concern” this is not the great falling away. The Great Falling Away is when most professing, church going Christians lose focus and make life about self and not Christ. This makes for a great disaster in the Name of God. 

The great falling away has been prophesied in scripture. It WILL happen! But how do we prepare and respond? How do we know we are safe in this time? This message reveals how we can remain secure during the inevitable falling away of the church, and more, rise up to meet the challenge and let Christ direct us off the cliff.
