How do we worship God?
"Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."
Matthew 4:10
This is the principal duty of man. God alone is worthy to be worshipped. As the redeemed children of God, we now have the privilege of being true worshippers. It is therefore imperative for us to know what worship is and how we should worship. This missing jewel must be recovered in the Church.
"The temptation of Jesus in the wilderness reveals the importance of worship, the importance of worshipping the Creator. Many place more importance on Savior than on Creator. It is true that we must first recognize the Savior in order to know the Lord as God. Yet it is not enough to know only His redeeming work, since His redeeming work is to lead men to know Him as Creator. The Blood is first in order, but it is not first in importance."
Watchman Nee, Worship God
In Worship God, Watchman Nee lays down the axiom that worship belongs to God. He explains how worship comes only by revelation and how it must be done in spirit and in truth. The author also deals with various subjects such as spiritual conflict, spiritual reality, the offense of the Lord, and so forth.
